Drug intelligence / Profile preview
[14C]THDBH151 is a Carbon-14 radiolabeled investigational drug used to study the human mass balance, pharmacokinetics, and metabolism of THDBH151. THDBH151 itself is a small molecule inhibitor of the urate transporter 1 (URAT1), also known as solute carrier family 22 member 12 (SLC22A12). Developed by Dongbao Zixing (Hangzhou) Biopharmaceutical, a subsidiary of Tonghua Dongbao Pharmaceutical, THDBH151 is intended for the treatment of hyperuricemia and gout. By inhibiting URAT1 in the renal proximal tubules, the drug reduces the reabsorption of uric acid, thereby increasing its excretion and lowering serum urate levels. The [14C] radiolabeled version is specifically employed in Phase 1 clinical trials to track the drug's metabolic pathways and ensure complete excretion in healthy volunteers.
